Powerball Blues

I don’t know about anyone else, but Christine and I had already spent several million of the Powerball jackpot before they had even picked the numbers on Wednesday. Did anyone else experience that euphoric feeling of walking out of the store with a Powerball ticket? My heart was definitely racing thinking about how this little piece of paper might be worth 300 million dollars! Unfortunately, we did not win, nor do I even think we got a single number correct. So I apologize to all my friends and family for not winning, and therefore not being able to lavish you all with expensive gifts.

Even though we did not win and therefore could not travel around the world, we settled for taking a day off on Friday to take a tour of northern New Hampshire. So with fingers crossed that the leaves were still on the trees, we made our way up to Lincoln, New Hampshire and started our day by climbing the rickety tower at Indian Head Resort, which is where we began our first “leaf peeping” trip back in 2003.

We also took a drive down the Kangamangus highway and stoppped for a couple hikes along the way. Unfortunately, my camera is still busted (see related story) so I don’t have all of our pictures yet. So until I get my camera back in a week or so, here are a couple of my favorites that I was able to download.
