Seal Dive at the Isle of Shoals

Yesterday I left from Kittery, Maine on Portsmouth Scuba charter with Seafari. There were 9 divers in all with 1 goal in mind…swim with some cute seals. I tried this last year only to be unable to see the seals because of waves. This year was much different.

After seeing a few seals during the first dive we jumped in for our second dive with a total of 6 divers together and we were surrounded by seals for almost the entire 47 minute dive. One seal in particular thought we were pretty cool and kept disappearing and coming back. It even surfaced with us to check us out topside (but I was too slow with the camera).

It was quite a thrill to dive with these beautiful animals. Enjoy!
