Christmas comes early this year…

As I mentioned in my last post, we celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas Saturday and Sunday of last week in Ohio. And of course there was also the extended birthday weekend celebration. As a side note, this is the second year in a row that Christine and I brought snow with us to Columbus (but no ice this year so the power stayed on).

Thanksgiving dinner was awesome and I really get spoiled for Christmas! I not only got a gift certificate to the Apple store (see picture to the right) but I also got lots of fun things including a Chiptole T-shirt and gift certificate. I even wore the T-shirt when the family went out for lunch at Chipotle! mmmmmm Chipotle

The wedding planning also went well. We feel reasonably assured that they won’t be tearing down our reception hall until the week following our wedding. We also met with the priest doing the ceremony and he has “decided to marry us”. Those were literally his words… it is not so much an odd sense of humor so much as it is the delivery of the joke, like when he pretended that our wedding date might not be available. All I am saying is that when you need to tell someone you’re joking, you might want to work on your delivery.

That’s all I have to say for now because I need to do some cleaning and if I’m really quick about it I’ll be able to sneak in another episode of last season’s “24”, a show that I am totally addicted to but will only watch on DVD (because I can’t wait a whole week before watching the next episode).
