Ha Ha. We all got a good laugh out of that one. But these days I’m thinking that it should be tweaked a little bit. These days, at least in New England, the rhyme should go:
If April showers bring May showers, what do May showers bring?
Answer: June showers
Ha Ha. Not quite as clever, but very true. That was pretty much the state of things this past weekend when Christine’s sister, brother, and his fiancee were here visiting us. We had planned a weekend of outdoor activities (hiking and biking) but the 3-4 inches of rain forced us to use plan B.
At least we still managed to have a good time…This picture below was a cute little spontaneous piggyback which almost turned into disaster immediately afterwards when Christine thought I was trying to get a better grip when in fact I was trying to put her down. I somehow managed to catch her before impact, and a trip to the emergency room was narrowly avoided.
Below is a picture of the whole crew after a tour of the Red Hook brewery in Portsmouth, can you guess who enjoyed the beer the most? We took a drive along the New Hampshire coast on the way home which included a stop at Wallis Sands State Park…unfortunately it was not the best beach day seeing as the water temperature was probably warmer than the air temperature (IN JUNE!). Stupid weather!!!
