Busy Couple of Weeks

It has been a very busy last couple of weeks. We weren’t even home last week because we took a cheap flight on Skybus to visit friends and family in Michigan and Ohio. Before we left, Christine spent some time trying to teach me a new card game (at least for me) called Euchre. I think that all children ages 5 and up in Ohio and Michigan are taught how to play Euchre so I was at a distinct disadvantage playing with 3 experienced players and I learned some hard lessons but had a fun time nonetheless and I’m ready for a rematch (Christine & Becki!!)…or ready as I’ll ever be I guess.

I also tried Ethiopian food for the first time on our Michigan trip. Excellent job by Becki & Mike for picking that place! The food was amazing and my only regret is that I ate lunch beforehand. Unfortunately, the closest similar restaurant to us here in New Hampshire is about an hour away:-(

We also had a great time with Christine’s friends in Michigan and we get to see the “baby”. Christine posted some of the pictures online a couple days ago. They may or may not be interesting to anyone, but the link is off on the side. If you want to see a picture of me holding a baby, this is your opportunity. Christine was just a slight “baby pusher” and I eventually caved. It’s hard not to smile when you’re holding a baby and I never really noticed how good they smell. I think it might be similar to the “new car smell” but better because you really just can’t get enough.

Yesterday we took our second trip to Pulpit Rock in Bedford to go snowshoeing and took lots of pictures with our new camera. We were the first people to hit the trail on what I would guess to be about 6 inches of fresh snow. You could not ask for better conditions than that!

Christine needed to dust herself off after her near plunge into the bubbling brook.
