Making progress
We are definitely not having any problems finding things to do in the new house. And I can’t even bear the thought of looking at our Home Depot bill, but the good news is we are making some excellent progress. Just in the last week we’ve managed to finish the tile in the upstairs bathroom and install the toilet, patch the hole the wall in the dining room (still needs paint), finish the guest bedroom (including painting the brass bedframe white), and hook up the computer. We even have our first overnight guest. Patricia has laid claim to the spare bedroom as her own, but I’m sure she’s willing to share.
The nice thing about this week has been that it hasn’t been all work. We fired up the grill for the first and second time (with the third time coming tonight). You can see that we had a very beautiful sunset for our first grilling experience. Christine grabbed the camera as she often does and snapped some great pictures. We also explored our garden and discovered some very delicious green onions ready for consumption. And we finally got back to doing a little cooking as you can see in the pictures. The link is below.
Now that the computers hooked up hopefully I’ll be posting some more pictures and stories over the next few days.
