Thanksgiving 2013

We started Thanksgiving off the right way with a morning walk over at the Audubon Society and Manchester. It was, as always, a fun walk. Despite the cold we still had a good time warming up for the Thanksgiving feast to follow. It’s hard to feel too cold when playing hide and seek in the woods, posing for pictures, and exploring.

Helena at Audubon

Lately, Helena has really wanted her picture taken because she really likes looking at the pictures on the computer or on mommy’s iPhone. To her way of thinking, if she’s not in the photo, it’s not worth looking at so she’s making an extra effort to be in the photo. We first discovered her newfound love of being in photos at her aunt Bunny’s wedding. Helena inserted herself into just about every photo and had a perfect smile each time while holding her flowers. It’s definitely a cute smile!

After the Turkey trot at the Audubon Society, we hustled home to cook some food and get ready for Thanksgiving dinner at Nonna and Papa’s house. Everyone had a great time, and Helena was thankful for a day spent with her family. We did set a new record for pies per person. If you include my sister’s dessert casserole, we had 5 pies for 7 adults.
