Birthday Pics

Christine’s birthday weekend, although not quite over yet, was definitely a success! She is off shopping with her sister, which gives me time to post some pictures and blog a little.

The barbecue on Saturday was excellent and Christine was giddy opening her presents (which was fun to see). We were also celebrating my grandfather’s birthday which is a week after Christine’s. That’s him blowing out the candles with Christine in the picture below.

On Sunday, Christine, Patricia and I took a drive up north to Mt. Willard (elevation 2804 ft.). It is one of those hikes where the reward is greater than the effort it took to get to the top. It has an absolutely spectacular view of Crawford Notch and some of the presidential mountains. We had planned on driving home via the Kangamangus Highway, but we were running a little late after stopping at the Gap Outlet in North Conway and we figured if we were ever going to get to On the Border for dinner we should head straight home. Oh, and I bougth 2 pair of pants without any urging…that’s not maturity, is it? Don’t want that!

I did learn one important thing on Sunday, and that is Christine + Patricia + cheesy Spice Girls songs are a dangerous combination. I can’t say anymore, mostly because it is impossible to describe, but take my word for it and keep those highly volatile materials separated.

We have posted additional pictures of Christine’s birthday weekend at the link below…And if you’re wondering why the background color of the Pictures is orange, let’s just say that it matches the “pumpkin” theme of many of her birthday presents.
