What a surprise!

Apparently, I was the only person in Ohio not “in” on Christine’s little secret. Saturday morning after we arrived in Columbus she handed me an envelope, to which I responded, “Oh no… don’t tell me we need to look at wedding invitations too” (with a roll of the eyes). However, when I opened the envelope there were two tickets to the Ohio State Buckeyes football game! Tell me that’s not better than wedding invitations! Christine’s uncle Ron parted with the tickets so I could catch my first Bucks game in person… thanks uncle Ron!

Now the reason that I didn’t blog about this sooner is that when I tried to download some of the pictures from the game and from some other places on our trip, my camera wouldn’t connect to the computer (hence no pictures on this post). It only took me an hour and a half to explain to Sony that the problem wasn’t my computer, it was the camera. Of course it didn’t help that they disconnected me after the first half an hour. Thankfully, it is covered under warranty. But it means there won’t be any pictures on the Web site until I get it fixed. Note to Sony customer support: Macs don’t have a device Manager and don’t need a driver!

As for the wedding planning, Christine and I discovered that wedding photographers are not cheap… but we think we have decided on one nonetheless. We just need to ask them a couple more questions, which we will do this weekend.

As for food (see my last post below), the trip to Columbus was a great success! I think it was all I talked about on the trip. Thank you for the Apple bars Diane! Soooo good!!!

Hi Doug,Glad you enjoyed the long weekend in Columbus. Those were the best invitations you looked at, but your face was even better. The computer is running tip-top. Thanks for ridding it of the problems.

Hi Doug and Christine,Just a quick hallo from Denmark – sounds like you are doing well and have everything under control. That was such a sweet surprise. I am cooking dinner for Jakob’s family right now (it is his b-day) and he is watching a match in Parken between FCK and OB together with a lot of DIS staff and students. Probably not as much fun as your game. Take care, Adrianne ; )

Do you really think we care about a Buckeye’s game? Now, if they were playing Michigan then there might be a reason to show emotion. By the way, did they lose?Kristen
