It’s Official! We’re Home Owners

That’s right! We bought our first house. We are very excited but there is much work to be done. We’ve even already made our first purchase at Home Depot of some bathroom supplies to redo the half bath downstairs. Can anyone say weekend project? The picture below was taken after we finished signing about a million papers and they actually handed us the keys. It’s crazy how much they make you sign. There were three forms alone just about home inspection. My signature was starting to look like second-grade cursive class by the end. I could barely even form the first D.

My parents called while we were at Home Depot wanting to know when we would be home and then used that information to sneak into our house through a door that could not be locked (hence the trip to Home Depot) and sneak in a brand-new grill for a housewarming present! When Christine and I pulled into the driveway we saw their cars but not them. When we opened the garage door, there sat a brand-new absolutely beautiful grill and we just started flipping out in disbelief! My parents should’ve had a camera on us because our reaction was utter shock and excitement.
