Green Thumb
We had our own personal gardener this weekend while Christine’s parents were visiting. For some reason that I still don’t fully understand, Diane was extremely excited to use my dad’s rototiller to show our garden whose the boss. It was no small task as you can see from the pictures below. In fact, there was probably more grass in the garden than there is grass on the side of the house. Maybe we should’ve considered a transplant (is that even possible?). If there is a Rogaine equivalent for grass I think we need that.
As you can see, she did an amazing job! We now have all sorts of goodies including my traditional Thai peppers, Thai basil, tomatoes, some other hot peppers, radishes, spicy oregano, lettuce, and probably a few other things that I’m forgetting. It’s definitely a good-sized garden, especially for the city.
Of course, the garden wasn’t the only thing that we did to entertain ourselves while Christine’s parents were visiting. We took a ride up north and rode the tram to the top of Cannon Mountain. There are some fun pictures from the top posted on Smugmug. Click on any of the pictures to take you there. On the way home I shocked Christine with the suggestion that we stop at Cafe Momo, a Nepalese restaurant. It’s not usually my favorite, but I asked for it extra spicy (with habanero peppers) and boy did I get what I asked for. I was sweating like I had run a mile and my mouth was on fire, but it was so good! And we watched the Celtics beat the Lakers! Go Green!

Thanks for posting up the great pictures. We really had a great time with both of you. Dad checked out the pictures too and enjoyed teasing me about what made him smile!!
There should be little green things peeking out any day now. Keep me posted on the progress.
